2012 Ended with a great Christmas production. "The Wizard of Oz", which
was danced over a long weekend prior to Christmas with the whole school
involved. The 3 and 4 year olds always "steal the show" and last year was
no exception. The children worked so hard and deserved all the applause
they received. Hayley says "That's one warm memory I fondly remember
from dancing as a child myself. I watched the confidence of the students
grow so much over the weekend, it truly was amazing".
Registrations now open • Term 1 commences 4th February
Our Dorothy finished 5th in NZ at the Jazz National scholarship finals in
November so had a very full on term.
2013 year has begun with a bang! We have Catherine Reid coming to teach
the hip hop. She is at the top of her game and simply bursting with talent
and ideas. For her full resume and timetable check out the studio web site
Catherine coaches the National award winning teams "Strikers Cheer
squad" and hip hop crews "Scribble", "Delovely" and "B-FABB". Teaching
at Whitireia Performing arts centre, Hutt Valley High School and taking
time out to appear on "Good morning NZ" to demonstrate her skills are just
some of her many talents. Don't let this opportunity pass you by. Enrol now
boys and girls for some amazing hip hop.
More fantastic news for the studio is having the opportunity to work with
Kerry-Anne Gilberd as she coaches the senior girls at ballet and takes
private lessons. As an ex principal dancer with the Royal NZ Ballet Company
she has danced many soloist roles in all the leading ballets. I truly hope the
seniors take every chance of learning from such a top professional.
A sincere welcome to the teaching staff Catherine and Kerry-Anne
Now into our 21st year of operation. We continue to offer ballet, jazz,
hip hop, national, contemporary, tap and pilates lessons. Our term
